TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE AND MEMBERSHIP OF THE GOOD REWARDS LOYALTY PROGRAM

Participation in the Good Rewards Program is subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
Every Cardholder is subject to these General Terms and Conditions and by participating in the Good Rewards Program, the Cardholder agrees that he/she has (and shall be deemed to have) read, understood and unconditionally accepted the General Terms and Conditions, as well as the all other related Terms and Conditions pertaining to reservations, bookings and website use found at www.goodersonleisure.co.za

  • ELIGIBILITY OF MEMBERSHIP
    • Applicants may become Cardholders by completing the Application Form. Application forms may be obtained from any Gooderson Leisure hotel/resort, online or sent via email.
    • Each Cardholder will receive a membership card with a unique number for the Good Rewards Program. First issue of this card is free.
    • Membership of the Good Rewards Program is only available to natural persons, unless otherwise determined in writing by Gooderson Leisure.
    • Membership is not open to corporate bookers, travel agents, PCO's, or similar booking agents.
    • Membership of the Good Rewards Program is open to non-residents and residents of the Republic of South Africa.
    • Membership to the Good Rewards Program is offered at the sole discretion Gooderson Leisure and Gooderson Leisure may accept or reject any application for membership, or suspend/terminate any Cardholder's membership with reasonable notice to that effect.
    • Membership will be established in the Cardholder's personal capacity and name as it appears on the Cardholder's valid passport and/or national identification document from time to time. Only such Cardholder may earn and accumulate Rewards on this membership number.
    • Cardholders are responsible for advising Gooderson Leisure of correct and accurate information. Cardholders must advise Gooderson Leisure of any change in membership details as soon as practicable after the change and submit such changes to the Gooderson Leisure contact centre in writing, including the membership number and proof of identification (a copy of identity document or passport).
    • All personal information relating to a Cardholder will be dealt with in accordance with the privacy policy set out below.
    • Gooderson Leisure and its hotels may terminate membership of a Cardholder at any time, without notice.
  • REWARDS: EARNING, ACCUMULATION AND REDEMPTION
    • Membership Card
      • Good Rewards Program Cards, when issued. will allow Cardholders immediate use for in order to earn and claim Good Rewards Stays.
      • Cardholders must present a valid Good Rewards Program Card when earning or redeeming Good Rewards Stays.
      • The card must be physically present at the time of check-in and scanned or swiped to accrue the Good Rewards. No photo copies, photos or other stored card numbers are accepted.
      • Misuse of the card is subject to immediate termination of membership.
      • This card is for individual, personal use only and cannot be used for corporate, travel agent or group bookings.
      • Should you lose your Good Rewards Card you can request a new one at any hotel. Replacement cards are charged at R20 per card.
    • Earning and Accumulation of Good Rewards Stays
      • Good Rewards Stays can only be earned and accumulated at Gooderson Beach Hotel, Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge, Gooderson DumaZulu Lodge, Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens, Gooderson Kloppenheim Country Estate, Gooderson Monks Cowl, Gooderson Natal Spa and Gooderson Tropicana Hotel.
      • Timeshare units, hotel self-catering units and camping/caravan sites do not fall part of the Good Rewards Program and Good Rewards Stays cannot be earned in those units.
      • Good Rewards Stays are earned after checkout, and Good Rewards Stays are credited to a Cardholder's Account within 72 hours.
      • Good Rewards cannot be claimed off historical stays, and only stays from the inception of the program from 1 November 2018 will be counted.
      • The number of Good Rewards Stays awarded is calculated by reference to one nights' stay, e.g. two night's stay equals two Good Rewards Stays.
      • Once 10 Good Rewards Stays have been accrued, a voucher for a complimentary two night stay, for two adults on a bed and breakast basis in a standard hotel room will be issued to the card. This will be communicated to you via email/SMS.
      • Gooderson Leisure may on reasonable notice (including via electronic and/or internet-based communication) change the rate of earning at any time.
      • Good Rewards Stays may also be credited to a Cardholder's Account as a result of promotions offered from time to time. Gooderson Leisure shall determine qualification criteria for rewards and the number of Good Rewards Stays that will be credited to a Cardholder's Account for such purposes.
      • Cardholders may verify the balance of Good Rewards Stays held on an Good Rewards Program Card by requesting a balance via email: loyalty@goodersons.co.za or enquiring online or at a property reception.
      • The card cannot be used to accrue Good Rewards Stays on reservations not in the cardholder's name.
      • Good Rewards Stays may be earned when booking through a 3rd party booking agent, or travel agent. Your card will need to be present on check-in.
      • Good Rewards Stays cannot be earned on complimentary nights or group bookings.
    • Redeeming Good Rewards Stays
      • The complimentary stay is valid for 1 year from the date of earning, and is subject to the standard reservation terms, conditions and policies found at here.
      • Good Rewards Stays can only be redeemed at Gooderson Beach Hotel, Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge, Gooderson DumaZulu Lodge, Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens, Gooderson Kloppenheim Country Estate, Gooderson Monks Cowl, Gooderson Natal Spa and Gooderson Tropicana Hotel.
      • Timeshare units, hotel self-catering units and camping/caravan sites do not fall part of the Good Rewards Program and Good Rewards Stays cannot be redeemed in those units.
      • Honeymoon suites, suites or executive rooms cannot be claimed as part of the complimentary stay.
      • Any additional guests, stay extensions and other charges are to be settled with the property.
      • The complimentary stay is subject to availability of rooms on the requested dates.
      • Good Rewards Stays can be redeemed at any time of the year with the exception of long weekends (such as Easter weekend; and weekends where a public holiday falls on a Monday or Friday) and from 16 December to 6 January.
      • Any exceptions to the redemption period are subject to a decision by the General Manger of their respective property.
      • From time-to-time, the General Manger of their respective property reserves the right to decline a complimentary stay due to special events at the property.
      • Good Rewards Stays will be adjusted to reflect refunds or other events which result in a reversal earned Good Rewards Stays.
      • Good Rewards Stays may not be redeemed if expired.
      • Good Rewards Stays cannot be redeemed for cash or cash substitutes, swopped in lieu of activities, meals, beverages, etc.
      • Good Rewards Stays complimentary vouchers maybe be transferred to another card holder at the discretion of Loyalty Program Manager.
  • EXPIRY OF REWARDS
    • All Good Rewards Stays earned are valid for one (1) years after the month in which the Good Rewards Stays were earned unless otherwise stated herein or agreed in writing between Gooderson Leisure on the one hand and the Cardholder or a Partner on the other hand.
    • Good Rewards Stays are earned with effect from the date of the relevant Eligible Transaction notwithstanding the date that the Rewards are credited in the Cardholder's Account.
    • Good Rewards Stays may not be redeemed if they have expired.
    • Notwithstanding the provisions of this clause, Gooderson Leisure may, in its discretion, elect to treat any expired Rewards as valid and redeemable.
    • In the event that a Cardholder does not use his Good Rewards Program Card for a continuous period of twelve (12) months reckoned from any date, the Cardholder's Account may be closed temporarily or permanently or otherwise dealt with at Gooderson Leisure's discretion and the Good Rewards Program Card connected thereto, as the case may be, suspended, deactivated or cancelled by Gooderson Leisure. Cardholders will receive advance notice of inactivity which could result in the aforesaid consequences.
  • PRIVACY POLICY
    • Gooderson Leisure protects the user's privacy.
    • No personal information will be disclosed to third parties without the user's permission or due process.
    • Gooderson Leisure gathers and will be in possession of the following private and personal information:
    • Information provided by the user voluntarily - this information is used to provide a better service to users;
    • Information automatically provided (e.g. cookies) - this information is gathered to better your browsing and interaction with Gooderson Leisure . Cookies cannot harm your computer or carry viruses; and
    • By using the Good Rewards Program; Good Rewards Program Card and/or website the User consents to the following:
    • Gooderson Leisure may use your personal information to communicate with the user from time to time. Users may indicate if they do not wish to receive such communications; and
    • Gooderson Leisure may use user's information for non-personal statistical purposes.
